A LITTLE HELP TO GROW

Make yourself at home.

Something puzzling in your conservatory? Here are a few ways to get growing again.

How do I begin?

Choose Chapter Garden, water a seed, and follow your journal. When a sprout is ready, select it and choose “Welcome growth.” Restore the brass boiler from its item controls. In the demo, sprouts take 30 seconds. In the full game, the first takes a minute and later sprouts take two hours. Nothing wilts while you are away.

Can I just build without waiting?

Choose Freeplay from the start screen or garden menu. Items are free and you can choose their growth stage. The demo offers a small conservatory and its starter collection; the full game includes the complete collection and larger grounds.

How do I move around or edit the garden?

Drag to orbit. On a phone, use two fingers to pan or pinch to zoom. On a computer, scroll to zoom and right-drag to pan. Select an item to move, turn or return it. Open Build to edit floors, waterbeds and walls. Keep floor tiles connected and Pip’s home dry.

Where is my save? Can I move it to another device?

Saves belong to this device and browser. Demo and full editions, and Chapter Garden and Freeplay, have separate saves. Open the garden menu or More → Save / export / import to export a backup. Import that file on the other device. Export each mode separately. A completed demo can continue in the full game; the demo cannot open full-game saves.

Private browsing, clearing site data or removing an app can erase local saves. Export a backup before doing so. There is no account-based cloud recovery.

How do visitors and landmarks work?

Small visitors move in when a spot suits them: water a seed, grow something beside the water, warm the boiler or set a lantern near a flower. Some arrangements become landmarks, such as a lily pond, a fernery or a station memorial at the end of a terracotta path. Three related landmarks restore part of the old conservatory. The field journal (the feather button) keeps everything you have found.

The game is slow or the scene is blank.

Try closing other game tabs and reopening the game. Use an up-to-date browser with hardware acceleration and WebGL support. If the garden opens, export a backup before changing browser settings or clearing data. On mobile, check for app updates and try reopening the app.

I finished the demo. What now?

Your garden stays open for tending and decorating. You can revisit the ending in your journal or try Freeplay. Export your garden if you want to keep it for the full game.

Still need a hand?

Include your device, operating system, browser or app version, and a short description of what happened. Screenshots can help. Share a garden export only if you are comfortable doing so; never include passwords or unrelated personal files.
